Skil Cordless Questions

Can one use a skil cordless 14.4 volt drill to drill pilot holes into the basement cynderblock wall? Will any cordless drills do this? If not, what kind of tool is neccessary to drill into the wall? (I want to mount some shelves to the wall.) Thanks, A home improvement novice

There are ads on the internet for Repair instructions. On add talks about "reset" procedure. Is there such a thing or should I buy a new battery?

Im talking about the type that have a small rechargeable. You have to disassemble the screwdriver to remove the old battery. Specifically its a Skil Twist model # 2105. I'd hate to just chunk it because the battery goes. Is this really just a disposable power tool? Everything else OK.

Looking at a Cordless Power tool, by GRIP, not familiar with that brand of power tools. Anyone own a GRIP, and how do you compare it to a SKIL, or similar brand Power Tool?

I want to buy my father a cordless powertool kit and my budget is between $125-150. The kit I have decided on has a cordless drill, circular saw, reciprocating saw, and flashlight (w/2 battery packs). I see names like Hitachi, Porter-Cable, Skil, Craftsman, and Ryobi, but I don't know which is the best. All fall within my price range. As for DeWalt and Mikita, I just don't have the money for those. So, can anyone tell me which brand they would choose, given my budget limts?

I am shopping for a cord (or cordless) Drill/Driver. What should I use to consider the right equipment for household use? (1) How much voltage should I be considering? (2) How much wattage? (3) How much rpm ? (4) Other advice? (5) I am considering Skil and DeWalt, do you recommend one over another? Thanks

I am looking at buying tools for my boyfriend for christmas and I was wanting to know what is a good brand to buy? Black & Decker DeWalt Milwaukee Skil Makita Hitachi or another I am looking at getting a 14.4v with a drill bit set. Any help will be appreciated. Thanks in advance. He is a farmer. He would not use it everyday but I think he would use it quite often. He is also thinking about renting a house and it needs some work. So I was thinking of tools that would be useful for farming and around the house. Thanks What is a drill/driver? http://www.tylertool.com/062924ts.html Is that a good deal

My husband and I bought a fixer upper, and are neck deep into the "fixing up" part. We saw an infomercial a while back about a tool, it resembles the SKIL Power Cutter, it's handheld and will cut through anything supposedly EXCEPT YOUR HAND!!! If anyone could please please tell me the name of this product, or even what brand it is, ANYTHING, We really really need something just like it at least. a small cordless hand held power cutter, that will cut through at least a half inch of laminate flooring, i bought the SKIL cutter, thinking it was the one I had seen on the infomercial, but it is definitely not, it won't even cut through the stick on tiles we bought for they foyer!!! so please please help me out!! p.s. if you know of another strong powerful battery operated cutter i would really appreciate it, as there is no electricity on yet, we have to have it inspected first, but i need to work on it before it gets inspected!! rock and a hard place :( also, if someone could give me at least a brood description of what a city code inspects in order to have the electric hooked up that would be very nice!!! and, is the electric all they look at if that's what they are their for? or will they get on us if other things aren't in order yet? we do not live there now, and we are not going to rent it, just fix it up and move in when we can. thanks:) i live in Indiana OMG!! I NEVER thought of THAT!!! I have spent hours and hours in the nearest lowe's and mernards.... they don't typically recommend products they don't carry, and since it's a infomercial thing, i'm pretty sure i can only get it online, hence the need for a googleable word!! lol, i just made that word up;)
